The hotel is in a fantastic location - six chocolate shops within walking distance and some fantastic restaurants e.g. Lola. Lots of good places to walk and a park nearby where you can go for a good run. Staff are very helpful and courteous and the internet works well throughout the hotel which is a big bonus for business travellers like me. I stayed on the second floor and although my room was clean, it was very "tired" - carpet stained, worn, and old; old-style furniture; bed was comfortable however; similarly the bathroom, although functional was old and tired. Further the carpet in the corrodor/hallway was old and tired.
This hotel has great potential - if the owners would invest to update the guest rooms (was it just the second floor that needs updating or is it the other floors?) and common areas, then it would be the perfect hotel for business or pleasure.
