Rooms are clean but in the winter they don't turn on the A.C and the rooms with windows in the inside get extremely hot! But I spoke to reception and I was moved to a room facing the street that was cooler.... Very friendly and accommodating staff! Make sure ur room has an outside-facing window!!!!

Booked this hotel as it was in a central location and very reasonably priced for a three night city break. Then I started to read some reviews and started fretting about our choice and almost took advantage of the free cancellation. Glad I didn't. The location is fine, central and close to all the restaurants, tourist attractions and transport links. Yes, some parts of town are are less desirable and there is some noise, but anyone who lives in a city will be used to this. The staff were all excellent, rooms and buffet breakfast are fine. We had a room safe but our teens in the next room didn't, also our bathroom was better laid out so there is probably some variation in the rooms. The rooms don't feel too warm but we all woke in the night feeling very hot, I think it's more the bedding than the room temperature but that's just my opinion. Overall, a great choice for a city break to use as a base, but if you prefer something more boutique or romantic then you will be disappointed.

Visited the hotel over Christmas. Location, staff, room and breakfast were all great - hence the return visit!
