We travelled via Eurostar to Brussels Midi (also known as Brussels Zuid), (you then change train to travel a 5 min journey to Brussels Central). The hotel was in a great location for a great sightseeing trip. Good footwear is needed. The actual hotel was clean and our room had maid service each day. The only fault with the room is that the bathroom door came straight out onto the bed. The breakfast was plenty. Ours was included in the price of our trip (would not pay 21 euros for). Staff in the hotel were pleasant and friendly. There are plenty of places to eat and drink near the hotel and all around Brussels. There is also plenty to see. We had heard that there was a charge for using the toilets but we only found this happening on one occasion when we visited the Atomium. We did the Brussels Bus City Tour which was ideal for hoping on and off to visit places. Most museums are closed on a Monday. The train trip to Bruges was an experience (73 euros for 3 of us return ticket) - we were packed in like sardines and people were fainting which was not much fun especially as it takes an hour to get to Bruges. On the way back from Bruges we had a bad experience with a ticket inspector who was quite rude to us because we had not filed in our tickets and said that we should have read what was on the ticket. Unfortunatly none of our party could speak fluent French let alone read it!!
