This is definitely one of my favourite hotels in Brussels. The location is ideal for the EU institutions and Silken is much more comfortable than any of the other hotels in the area (at least those where I've stayed - and there are quite a few). The breakfast is good and the spa (with 3 different saunas and a jacuzzi) is a bonus. The price varies - sometimes we've found a really good price (less than € 100 a night for a double room) and then Silken is definitely worth it. You can also reach the Grand Place easily by metro and the airport by bus.

Have stayed often in Silken Berlaymont which is practical for attending meetings in EU institutions nearby. Rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, although sound-proofing is not thay excellent (one can hear taxi-drivers chatting 4 floors down). Gym is acceptable (no extra fee) and breakfast good. Service is more or less quick. Hotel floorplan is bit confusing, as they usually are in brussels. All in all, I prefer to stay here.

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Brussels last November. Not sure why the organizers picked this one, since it was far from our meeting place and we didn't benefit from a particularly good rate (€ 140 / night).

This is probably one of the worst "high-end" hotels I have stayed at. Service at the desk was quite cold (I spoke French and the lady systematically replied in English...). The photo-themed decoration was pretentious and mostly based on cheap reproductions, and the furniture in the hall leading to the elevators definitely look tired.

My room was small, very dark, and not very well designed -- I couldn't open completely one of the closet's doors because the ceiling lamp was in the way. I couldn't take a shower without spraying lots of water on the awkwardly-located washbasin cabinet and flooding the bathroom. On top of that, the mattress was old and way too soft, so I could hardly sleep.

The only real good point I saw about the hotel was its excellent breakfast buffet. I guess the location is also convenient for people having meetings at the European Commission building right around the corner.

Next time I go to Brussels I'll definitely look for something a bit more modern, cheaper and central.

I spent with my couple the NY Eve and some more nights there. Frst of all the staff s very friendly, and helpful. The hotel itself is very modern, with all amenities you wish, the room was fully equipped, wonderful clean and well decorated. I loved the photographs section and totally found it was difficult to find a hotel in the centre of BRU which was economic and modern and good standard. WE just paid 238,-eur for a double rom incld breakfast for the whole stay 3 nights!!!The Silken exceeded my expectations completely, I can imagine they offer prestige due to the EU, as this will guarantee business for them, well done! We had no tiem for the Spa (10 eur per person) Breakfast is complete, good variety. Overall very satisfied, better than a lot of other 4-5 stars in Bru!! Spanish chains are on the top!
