I stayed at the Rocco Forte for several nights earlier this month. The location was fantastic (1 block from the Grand Place), and the doormen were always there to hold the door, but that was the best part.
We stayed in a suite on the 5th floor. The room was particularly spacious for European standards, but tired and outdated. The carpet was older, the tv did not face the bed and was in a cabinet so you could not view the tv at all from the bed, no matter what you did. The bathroom, while also quite large, had an extremely low shower that was super akward, and a sub-par old shower curtain that leaked like crazy onto a slippery marble floor.
I was awoken before 8am each morning by the sound of glass bottles clanking in the hallway. The housekeepers must save the glass bottles for recycling, but for whatever reason, they seem to throw them into a glass bin on the carts, creating quite a racket. I should mention I was at the absolute end of the hallway and this was still a significant problem.
This property was touted as the best hotel in Brussels (the only 5 star) and while the price was consistent with 5 star properties, this hotel needed some updating. I stayed at the Dominican Hotel (considered a 3 star) for the balance of the week, and it was head and sholders above this hotel for half the price.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your comments.
We are sorry you did not appreciate your stay with us.
We are glad to let you know some product improvements are currently taking place, for instance new room furniture for a better TV watching, glass panels for the shower and much more.
We have addressed your comment on the glass bottle noise, which is normally never the case. We are sorry if you were awake by this noise.
Looking forward to your next visit.
Very Best Regards
