“Wonderful host, sumptuous rooms”

The best part of the bed and breakfast had to be the host, Pascal. Having never been to Brussels, we didn't know what the best places to visit and eat were, so we relied on his breadth of knowledge to help us plan things out, and he did so with alacrity! He lent us maps and drew out the information and was so friendly!
The room itself was so gorgeous, I took at least a dozen pictures. Our room was a perfect blend of modern comfort and regal splendor with antiques blended in with new items. The bed was enormous and comfortable, and the bathroom was immaculate. While the location was not central, the metro was a short walk away, so it wasn't a problem at all. Yes, the city is somewhat spread out, so perhaps some reviewers didn't care for all the walking, but I would have to disagree with the sentiment and say we could all do with a bit more walking. It gives you time to look around, and, of course, burn off those Belgian chocolates!
Lovely!

Room Tip: I don't remember the name of our room, but look at the pics, and if you describe them to him, he...

“Welcoming, Beautiful Rooms, Excellent Service”

Couldn't recommend this B&B more. The pictures on the website don't do justice to how well conceived and well put together the rooms are (stayed in the King rm), very well located near 2 metro stops for easy access into the centre of Brussels without any problems. Pascal is incredibly friendly and an excellent host (and went far beyond the call of duty by helping us out of a difficult situation when public sector strikes closed the metro on the day we were leaving!) Breakfast was tasty and set us both up for each day.

“Charming place, charming host, charming everything!”

This is a real find in Brussels and such a haven after a busy time in the city centre, which can be overwhelming when it comes to cars, crowds and activity. It's an old house that Pascal has beautifully and lovingly restored. We stayed one night in the Architects Room and 3 nights in the Kings Room. Both great, but both very different, both spacious. The tariff is great value if you stay more than one night especially. The breakfast is simple but excellent. The location did not worry me, although I note for some it was an issue. 'Central' is a pretty relative term, surely. Twice we walked into the centre of town - it's about 30 minutes to do so leisurely. For us that's not a problem (we're both over 50, too) but for others clearly this is a problem. If you really want central then stay in town. Otherwise this is an ideal location as the public transport is close (train and bus) and cheap and easy. Some things to remember for some travellers: if you're sensitive to noise, then ask for a room on the garden side as some rooms are on the street side; there are a lot of stairs so some people may not care for this; there can be some thumping/internal noise to be heard as it is basically a residence that has been converted so if you're looking for complete silence this is not always the place; breakfast is communal so if you don't want to sit with others at the same big table then grab your stuff and take it to your room. None of these things bothered me, but stuff to keep in mind. We loved it - a really elegant place that it was a pleasure to go back to each day. Pascal knows the local area really well, and will do whatever he can to make your stay pleasant.

Room Tip: Quieter rooms on the garden side. Don'y know the accommodation well enough, but if you don't...

“It was like being a resident of Brussels”

Situated on the outskirts of central Brussels, in a very multicultural neighbourhood where the locals hang out at Moroccan cafes and buy fruits from the corner grocers. It's a quirky early 1900's apartment block which Pascal has refurbished (and is still working on). I like having my accommodation away from touristy areas, but still convenient, and this was an ideal place. It's a short walk from the Metro station, and there is also a nearby supermarket, laundrette and the hidden gem of the Godiva chocolates factory outlet which had bargains at less than half the retail price. Breakfast was nice, especially my introduction to Speculoos spread!

“Beautiful House, Fab Host!”

Had a fantastic two nights in B&BLeopold. Pascal was a wonderful host, very helpful and accommodating, with good tips on what to see, and the breakfasts were great! Stayed in the Colonial Rm, which was perfect for our needs (not massive, but neither are we)! Yes there were a lot of stairs, but nothing too strenuous. Centre of town was about a 20min walk, and an even easier Metro ride away (and the 4.50Euro day pass means you can hop on any type of transport, make sure you take coins to the metro, or get Pascal to give you some).

Brussels is a beautiful city and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Pascal!
