Having been to Antwerp a few times, our friends booked us into the Commarporte as they found a good deal on the internet. Great location, but there was no photos we could find.. and now we see why. Upon driving in (€15 a day car parking) checking in, was interesting as we had to side step around a bucket of water that was collecting the drips from the open ceiling, and two staff behind a small desk, sitting down the whole time for check in. One room, one key, and there was three of us in one room. So not great, but we would manage.
Walking up the stairs (I didnt want to risk the lift) ours was on the second floor. We walked onto the second floor and there was an open door straight ahead which looked alright. It appeared to be the show room, as it was more modern than the room we were going to be entering, but no plumbing or lighting either, as it seemed what was to be offered 'in the future'.
Upon opening our room, there was three small single beds in a row where I think a double bed was meant to be. Normally, you get a larger room, but they seemed to figure that three single beds side by side was appropriate. A tiny tv, and a not so clean bathroom, that one of the girls refused to close the shower curtain as it was so dirty.
For €250 for two nights, spread for 3 people, plus €30 car parking, I certainly wouldn't advise this to anyone else. Its really a shame, as its a great location..
