Location - as everyone says. very nice - but that is all. No air-con, so rooms unbearably stuffy. Open the windows for air - too noisy to hear yourself speak or sleep until the revellers have gone home. Everything is shabby, dingy and grey. Very basic breakfast. Very difficult to drive to. There are much better hotels for this price.

Don't listen to what people say about the bells just remember the location. This is just where you want to be in the city and the staff are friendly and interested. It is true that there are shabby places in the hotel and that not everything works in the room but the welcome and the price more than make up for this. It suited us perfectly and we will certainly return.

PRO: I'd like to first start out that the location cannot be beat and the view from the room was LOVELY. You are in the middle of old town and fairly safe to walk around at night. Lots of restaurants to choose from. The bells were loud but very charming and you gradually get used to it. They will bring you coffee and room service if you like. They are very quick and staff is friendly

The room was OK and clean. . It was a bit warm during the afternoon but they did provide a fan (no air con).

The night crowd was loud and the church bells were loud (you quickly get use to it!)
Downstairs restaurant served your standard breakfast and good and affordable meals!

All in all, I would stay again but would ask for their best room if I visit.

Best restaurant we ate was in place decoradted with many saint statues. Very good food. I think it is called "in the shadow of Our Lady's church" which literally it is......

Don't forget to buy Pierre biscuits. They are so buttery!!!

The location of this hotel is quite something. The deafening frequent chimes from the cathedral a few feet away is more amusing than annoying.

The problem with this hotel is you feel you’re living in the ‘before’ photo , prior to a demolition or complete re-fit.

I don’t mind ‘worn’, ‘faded’ or a bit of ‘character’, I do object to filth, mould and a touch of resigned apathy from the otherwise pleasant staff.

Shame on Best Western, this is a great location for a nice hotel, unfortunately, it’s down the street and much cheaper.
