The staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable and let's be honest, you get what you pay for.
I read reviews about how terrible this place was, but really couldn't find any faults. The breaksfast was basic, but there was enough and it kept us going until we loaded up on lovely waffles in town.

Just an average city centre ,hotel. Right next to main station, parking in side streets..we seemed to arrive during a period when the local authorities had decided to dig up most of the roads in the city centre... TomTom was totally outfoxed ! Probably around the hottest day of the summer, I had driven all day from Southern Germany in temps between 35-40 C.
The Tall ships had docked in town for the night so very interesting down on the waterfront.
Could have done with some aircon, but instead just used shower and wet the towels and used a body coverings.. breakfast ok, staff were all ok..

I should have visited Trip Advisor prior to booking this hotel. As I am sitting in my hotel room right now, I am wishing the night away so I can get on the earliest train to Ghent for my next stop.

True, it is right across the street from the Central Train Station, but it sure smells like it outside the lobby.

The woman at check in was very accommodating and pointed me in the right direction to get away from the hotel and see the sights of Antwerp.

The flat screen in the room is mounted high above the bed and nearly impossible to watched from the bed. Ugh!

Unusally I booked this hotel without checking the reviews here and only read the reviews here a week before travelling, which made me expect the worst: I brought my own hairdryer and towels. At the end, I didn't have to use my own towels.

The location of the hotel is perfect for those who arrive by train. It's just crossed the road from the train station. The checking-in and out were easy - I didn't have to queue at all.I arrived before the check-in time, but got a room straight away. The room size was what I would expect from a three-star hotel. The furnitures weren't the newest, but okay.

The breakfast was continental: bread, all sorts of spread and jams, hot drinks, juices, yoghurt, canned fruits, egg sald ...

There are plenty of restaurants just 3 minute walk away and the shopping area is 10 minutes away by foot.
