Previously stayed with a colleague and did not think twice about returning. An excellent hotel with good staff clean well equiped rooms. Will stay again next time in Anywerp. Location by the docks idea for any work in that area.

Not too bad overall but the smell in the corridor is awful

We ended up having to stay here after an evening with friends. Driving to my parents' place was not an option with the drink/driving rules.
The place is a Novotel, not much to say about that, it's a box with smaller boxes in it.
We arrived well late, around midnight and were offered the most expensive room (about 175 euros). We requested the price we found on the internet, which was 119, but were told this was only available if we booked on the internet. Eventually we managed to negotiate a more reasonable price, but it was still very expensive for what was on offer. Beggars can't be choosers, obviously so we took that. It took almost 30' to get registered, I wonder what would happen if a whole coach load turned up? Once we finally got our key card, which also works the lift (not confidence-instilling), it didn't work. The receptionist had to come with us to let us into our room, then we had to wait to go to bed until he had turned up with a replacement. Breakfast was extra and hugely expensive. We didn't bother.
The room was a typical Novotel type room, if that is the more expensive room I really think they are taking the mickey. We left early the next morning, never to return.
Whilst we understand it is in the port area, and probably attracts more business clientele, I would still not want to stay there.

Used this hotel on the first and last night of an organised coach tour. Didn't arrive until 22:30 on the first night and 19:15 on the last night, so didn't see much of the location. Check in and room fine, breakfast the following morning was good. We had a very good evening meal on the final night, set menu of tomato soup, followed by fish and chips. The bar had Stella on draft.
