I stayed only one night with my partner, choosing the hotel because of the combination of free parking, breakfast and the fact that it belongs to a "prominent" chain. However, the rate paid (111 Euro dbl toom, taxes incl) was not at all worth it. The hotel is not dirty as I had read in previous comments, but not spotless either. The rooms are rather small, the door to the corridor does not isolate from any noise (our room right next to the coffee machine I can tell you how many visitors had hot drinks that night). The unseen feature is the half-glass wall around the loo - yes, the loo, not the shower. In case you are a new couple seeking any romance, forget about it!
However, the worst is yet to come. I had to beg for breakfast. The night before I had asked for lunch boxes, as we had to leave at 06:30. The young lady at the Reception started explaining that she had just arrived, she had to prepare the general breakfast first, it was not her fault the boxes are not ready from the night before, never apologised, never smiled and to my comment of that being the worst service ever seen she replied simply "ok". Now, I know that one is not to expect much in terms of customer care in Belgium, but such arrogance is unpardonable. Apparently this hotel is a franchise of Best Western, operated with the minimum staff possible, which of course effects quality. For whatt I got I should not have paid more than 60 Euro. I paid almost the double. Tottaly busted. Do not make my mistake.
