The location is very convenient, right near the train station. When we entered, the staff greeted us warmly and answered all our questions fully. Our room was spacious and the reading lights on the wall next to the bed is a nice touch. The carpets in the hostel looked like they could have used a good cleaning, though. Also, it would have been nice to have some hand soap in the bathroom.
The included breakfast was great. Lots of variety, and they have a machine that makes various coffee drinks and hot cocoa. The bar has a two-for-one happy hour and a pool table. We met some interesting people there and had a great time with them. The bartender was very friendly.
Overall, our stay there was good, but the lack of any atmosphere (it very much feels like a chain hostel) and questionable cleanliness (dingy carpets, lack of soap) causes the "average" rating. Also, it was the most expensive hostel I've ever stayed at, 25 euro per night. It's much cheaper than a hotel, but for basic dorm accommodation, it's high.
