Perfect location, perfect views, perfect service and perfect food.
Not cheap, but very comfortable and your literally just above the "rabble" at the boulevard

Could not believe my eyes, I book the traditional room only to found out that the room wasn't renovated since 1991! Breakfast apparently not included and fully booked! How is that possible that a guest can not have a breakfast? Without prior information!

Meaning: crappy room, old TV, smelly bed and outdated bathroom. Not to mention, I only get the view to the bike stall!

Checked in on the room 110 at the new year's eve, and checked out in less than an hour. I'd rather stay on the street than in that room. The manager could get a better solution as I would expect. He can probably arranged an additional book for my breakfast at €57 p.p. on top of the money I paid for the room! Incredibly annoying!

I asked for a statement that I have checked out and only given a small piece of paper from the credit card machine that my pay,ent was cancelled. No official statement nor a good gesture that they feel sorry to the mislead information. Nor helping me with the check out. Please note again: in the new year's eve!

Obviously not to recommend anybody to stay overnight in this hotel!
As a frequent customer for the restaurant and the bar, I expect the room will match the quality and the expectation as you see this grand hotel.

When you walk through the relatively tiny lobby of the hotel after you check in, the majestic restaurant and grand cieling just sweeps you off the feet. It is grand and a dinner in the restaurant will tranport you to another world. The location is bang on the beach with 100s of beach bars and activities. Water sports like Wind surfing at your doorstep. There are some nice restaurants right outside the hotel.

However, the downside - the grandeur of the great hall raises your expectations and when you hit your room you will surely be disappointed. Even if you get the fabulous view of the beach... The average standard room doesn't live upto the grandeur.....I stayed in this hotel a few times and still feel that the rooms and service can be much better. . . .

We stayed at the Steigenberger in Den Haag at the seaside (Scheveningen) in October. It was a perfect weekend with great weather. The hotel is really beautiful, a historic building on the seaside with a really nice “Kursaal” in the middle, which is the restaurant and bar. The service was very friendly and taking care of us, calling us by name all the time! The rooms are very big and renovated – our room was overlooking the sea with a little balcony – a dream! Also the food is lovely – have lunch in the little bistro overlooking the sea and breakfast and dinner in the Kursaal with great service. All in all, a perfect weekend which I can only recommend!
