“Neat and convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

This hotel was just connected with the Word Forum and was quite convenient if you attend the meeting there. Although the parking fee is still high, however, you will got reductance if you resided there. The tastes of the restaurant was just descent (breakfast and dinner), and I personally preferred other restaurants outside with a at least 10-minitue walk. BTW, it is also at a reachable distance to the beach (about 3 KM) on foot or take tram Line 1. It worths a stroll there. In my personal opinion, the inner decoration was comfortable but the amenities inside the room appeared old. In general, it is the very Novotel Hotel you ever stay.

Room Tip: Upon admission, if possible, request a room with garden view.

“good business hotel, unfortunate restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2011

I reviewed this hotel a bout a year ago elsewhere and my opinion has remained the same. The hotel is great, very comfortable and in a good location (direct tram line either to the city center or the beach). It's ideal if you're going to be working at the World Forum convention center. The staff is very nice and helpful.
The restaurant: black, grey and white looks good and streamlined. But with proper lighting, particularly if you're going to obscure the windows with black string curtains. There are funeral halls more cheerful than this place. The music doesn't help. The place is so gloomy that the (very few) clients speak in hushed tones. As for the food, I tend to expect a chef to cook better than me. It wasn't bad but I could have cooked and served my steak myself with the same results or more. As for my colleague's dish, both of us could have done better. When a menu is this small, the few selections ought to at least be outstanding. Service is better than in the past, the rather sour waiters having been replaced on the night we were there by nice young women. But even they speak as if they are burying their grandmother.

“Another Novotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2011

We had stayed here before. This time we did not have breakfast. It was at a price that was too much. The room was clean and big enough. We had two easy chairs. It was airy as the windows could be opened. The air control system was not enough on it's own to keep the room cool. The hotel is handy for the tram line 1 into The Hague and to the sea front. Staff were helpful and polite. The shower worked though the shower screen did not. The bathroom floor was often wet after a shower.

“Great spot and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

Loved our time here with the kids - had 2 rooms, unfortunately not interconnecting but we got a pretty good deal - and the kids had breakfast for free! Breakfast was a bit limited for choice and we couldnt get a meal there at night which was a bit disappointing. And at 1.50 euro per piece of underwear to wash, i had to resort to washing in the bath!!

“Pleasant, clean and good value ....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2011

Second time I've visited this hotel for an overnight stay on business. Hotel room is excellent and rates are sub 90-100 euro's a night, which is pretty good for a good quality hotel in a major city in Netherlands. The downsides are;

- parking is actually more if you may (15e) via the hotel than simply using the carpark machine on exit (12.5e)
- Breakfast is expensive (20e if i recall correctly) for a basic buffet
- Traffic congestion - make sure you leave the hotel early as if you have to head back into the centre (about 2-3 miles away - it may be quicker walking!)

Overall, good hotel - manage the gotcha's and the stay will be pleasant.

Rgds

Warren.
