“Nice new guest rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Stayed here a week ago and I had never been to The Hague before. I usually never write reviews but only read them, however my experience at Bel Air really exceeded my expecations. Friendly staff, who assisted with tours of the city and museums, great breakfast and I was upgraded to stay in a renovated guest room. Nice new flatscreen tv, comfortable bedding and free wifi. Location of the hotel was perfect in the middle of everything. Perfect for a business trip combined with some (p)leisure.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first 6 floors. Newly renovated.

“My stay at the Bel Air Hotel, The Hague”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

The room was great with all the amenities I needed as I was on official mission. It also had free Wi-Fi in the room which made my stay much easier as I was able to work from my room some times. The staff was very warm and hospitalble and made my stay even more pleasant. I would like to stay at the Bel Air when I am next at The Hague.

“Nothing Special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

I stayed at the hotel with our school during the THIMUN 2012 conference. The hotel is actually really old, but there is free wifi in rooms which is very convenient. The view from rooms is actually quite bad as i stayed at the first floor facing the museum behind the hotel. One thing to stay away from is the restaurant. We ate at the restaurant the first night because we were too jetlagged to go to Centrum for food and it was both expensive and awful. There is very little choice at the restaurant, only hamburger, fries, nachos, and something else i don't remember. A hamburger cost 8.5 Euros and nachos 7.5 Euros. But it was a nice night's sleep and i appreciated the privacy in rooms.

Dear Guest,

We are happy to learn that you appreciated the free WIFI and the privacy in the room.

Concerning the feedback about our rooms I would like to point our that we are in the middle of a renovation process which will make you next stay surely a better one.

We would also like to apologize for your restaurant experience. During the THIMUN we had a special menu for the THIMUN hotel guests which could explain the limited choice that you experienced. However we do have another menu for dinner and lunch which could had been offered to you.

We trust to welcome you again in the near future.

Best regards,

Bel Air Hotel

“Enjoyable stay shame about the long face behind the bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

Stayed for 4 nights on business, room comfortable, Buffet Breakfast good / plenty of choice (although chilli mushrooms take a little getting used to for breakfast).

Reception very helpfull, the only negative thing i have to say was the barman was the most miserable man in the world, whilst i appreciate everybody has a bad day i think his was a bad week. His face was longer than most horses and whilst functional his manner was cold . I saw several patrons trying to share some humour with him but it appeared lost.

The location is a pleasant 35 minute walk to the town centre area although there are plenty frequent trams in the area which can take you there or to the beach in the opposite direction should you not wish to walk.

However I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by the barman. This is not according to our standards. I will personally take this matter up with our Director of Operations.

“Nice hotel and very well situated for museums etc.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

This is a large modern hotel, well decorated, with very good staff. Our room was comfortable well equipped and pleasant with a brown and white colour scheme, and I had no complaints. Nice toiletries, etc. There was a good breakfast, and we had a meal in the restaurant in the evenin. Although the hotel is on a large road it was quiet. I wouldn't say this hotel is quirky or interesting, but it is a place I would return to because it was comfortable and had what I needed. It's also well situated if you want to go to museums, etc. Slightly out of the old centre of town, but surrounded by "sights" of the Hague. I was slightly surprised that guests had to pay for the car park, though. Would return here if I am in the Hague again
