“GOOD HOTEL BUT PRICEY”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Well located, good staff and the best Mercure Privilege room I've ever stayed in. But you pay for it. Even the car park is expensive, it is easy to drive in and out of but no direct link to the hotel so if it is raining (which it always is in The Hague) you get wet. Great location a few yards from the City Hall. A treat for Judge John Deed fans!

“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

The location is excellent. It is on the spui plein, which has most of the entertainment nearby, close to the shopping, two minute walk from the binnehof and 5 minutes walk from the train station. The room is spacious, clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and with two choices of pillows on the bed (2 soft and 2 hard). The front desk is friendly and helpfull

“As central as you can get”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

A few minutes walk from Den Haag Centraal station and a few minutes walk into the main shopping streets, the Mercure is as central a location as you will find in The Hague.

The hotel itself was fine - I was visiting relatives in the city so didn't need to use most of the hotel faciities, but the room was comfortable, clean and big enough, the staff friendly and the atmosphere calm. If anything it was a little too warm and with sealed windows felt a little stifling.

I booked during a special discount rate period and found the price reasonable. I would be happy to return there on my next trip.

“Nice Hotel in good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We also stayed here over New year, the mecure is a nice modern, comfortable, clean hotel in the centre of town close to all transport services and surrounded by bars, cafes, and resturants.
we had a room on the 10th floor which was a good size with large comfy bed all amenities, ie Kettle, tv ,hair dryer, safe etc and a shower room as described by "burroontour" below, all very clean and tidy we also had great views of the city . although the room had plenty of lighting it did seem a little dim and the fridge didnt seem to work very well. breakfast (included) was excellent there was something for "everyone" and in nice relaxed atmosphere all staff very pleasent, polite and helpfull
nice hotel in good location

“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Stayed for 2 nights to celebrate New Year. Having stayed at the Ibis in Den Haag twice we decided to pay a bit more as a treat, we chose this hotel based on the location and positive reviews. It was perfect. We requested a high up room with a nice view and were allocated a room on the 8th floor with a panoramic city view. Although it was on a busy road the room was well sound proofed. We had a shower only room, the shower had a clear glass divide into the bedroom, which we thought was fun, there was a blind if you want privacy. The room was really modern with comfortable bed, nice desk and sitting area, kettle, fridge, safe and interesting features such as seating and lights. My only negative would be the TV which was quite small with limited English channels, but that didn't bother us. Good location, a quick and easy walk from centraal station and into the centre on Den Haag with lots of bars and restaurants. Breakfast was included in our room rate which was of excellent quality and served until 12 which was a real bonus as we didn't need lunch. Service throughout was great. Den Haag is a lovely city and New Year is fun, busy without being chaotic, people set off fireworks all day in the street which makes for a great atmosphere if a little scary! We headed back to our room after New Years eve and enjoyed watching the fireworks all over the city, wonderful. Highly recommended, we will return.

Room Tip: Ask for a high up room
