Situated right at the end of the boulevard, perfect views on beach, dunes and pier. We were happy with our choice. However you never get a second chance for a first impression. An understaffed reception left us 10 minutes standing in the windy corridor (with a 87 year old guest). Wanting to take a small bite while waiting till the room could be occupied, the junior lounge staff had no idea about guests, service, menu, the food and the bill. But after that the rooms were adequate, the pool is nice, the breakfast was fine with very friendly staff.

The Carlton Beach hotel is a good choice of hotel in The Hague area. Being the last hotel on the beach of Scheveningen it has a bit of space around it. Rooms are good and spacious. Staff friendly. Free internet connected computers in the lobby for guests. A seaview room is propably worth the view. If you chose "dune - view" they are fine too: on the second and third floor these rooms have a veranda (which is handy if you smoke). "Everything" in Scheveningen is within a couple of minutes walk. They also have their own parking lot for an extra fee...even though a bit pricey: worth it! parking in this area is expensive and problematic. Overall thumbs up!

Lovely, very clean, excellent service. The one caveat would be that the service in "The Grill" was abysmal. We had several very elderly people in our party so we ate there several nights out of necessity, and it was just consistently poor service. We were there for 5 days and 4 nights. I wanted to extend my stay for the remainder of my trip because I enjoyed it there so much, but alas they were completely booked. Loved the wonderfully large clean room. The bathroom was nothing short of luxurious. The beds and pillows were heaven!

Business stay over night. Clean and firendly with well appointed rooms in very good condition. Good restaurant with a very good breakfast. Beautiful location on the beach front.
