We stayed at this hotel in early Sept. We rented the VAN as our room of choice. Great location and cool hotel. The issue I had was the people that were staying there. I found it to unfriendly. The people there were not interested in chatting with new people and just hanging out with the people they already knew.
We figured since we were staying at a fun, cool hostel this was going to be a perk (meeting new people).
I have nothing bad to say about the hotel. It was clean, staff was nice, bathrooms were clean and it had free breakfast. Just a weird disconnect with the people staying there.
Cost 65EUR/night

There is a warning sign - "keep the room tidy". But there is no wardrobe in the "private" room, not even a hook. Next to the bank beds (for 4 persons) there was only one! chair and a table, made from raw lumber roughly fixed with screws. A deposit of 20 Euros is to be paid. However, I doubt that the intereriour is hardly worth it. The thin matrices must be covered with bed linen yourself. Toilets and showers are on the floor. Allthough, the location is quite ideal (close to beach but also in a street with shops and restaurants), this place can only be recommended as a makeshift.

I have just returned home from my fifth stay this year at Jorplace. Each individual trip has been incomparable to any other place I have been. Every aspect makes this hostel captivating; from the great surroundings, the friendly staff and the quirky interior Jorplace has everything to offer. As for myself and most of the guests I spoke to at the hostel my trip was always extended. I would highly recommend anyone to stay!!

I am shocked to see the comment below after spending so much time at the hostel I have become friends with the staff that work there and I know in this case that the comment was actually posted by an ex member of staff who was fired for stealing and general misconduct in the hostel. Obviously the bitterness of being fired has led him to have a vendetta against Jordy. I have been in Jordy’s company many times when I stayed at the hostel and he has always been so friendly and made me more than welcome at his hostel. I have enjoyed parties with him only in a positive way and I have most definitely never seen him be rude to the guests or staff. It is clear to see that from all the other positive comments on this site. It’s a shame to bring a bad vibe to such a wonderful place.

If you are ever travelling in holland, this is the place to be :)
The hostel has a excellent vibe and the staff is very very helpful and nice. It also is alot cleaner than most of the hostels we have visited in holland. The location is perfect, it is located near the beach in a small shopping street where you basically buy can everything you need. the hostel has a nice big kitchen you can use, soo shared dinners saved everyone a lot of money and brought alot of new friends together. The staff is very helpful and very friendly and makes you feel at home immediately! we love the chill out area in the back and if you book your stay here, we highly recommend the VW van, this is the coolest kind of accomodation ever :)
