Different from most BW Hotels, cool and individual room design, but of low quality.

Fast internet connection, international breakfast but with low motivated employees

The Hotel has about 14 levels, the higher you get, the more impressive the sight will be.

Even the low priced rooms have a sofa in addition to the doublebed.

You have to ask for Vouchers for the Internet-access at the front desk, it's free.

The price/worth relationship is very good.

Never forget to pay the parking site in front of the hotel, even if you're just going to check in, the sites are very frequently checked and just forgetting a ticket is about 75 euros

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. We travelled to Rotterdam for the North Sea Jazz Festival without spouses. If we had brought our wives we would have instantly looked for alternative accomodation. The rooms were a disgrace - no air-conditioning with temperatures at 35degrees and incredible humidity. A noisy fan was the answer to this problem. No extractor fan in the bathroom. Room furnishing from the late 1950s/early60s. An interesting feature was on old door screwed to the wall for what reason im still trying to work out. Toiletries - soap in a container screwed to the wall, that was it. Believe me we came back to this hotel late, there was no lounging around in this place. It was clean and breakfast was good.

Hotel in good location, rooms are large and okay but nothing great. The best part is the closeness to the subway. We stayed here for two days for a city break to visit with friends. Guess it is okay if your not staying for too long.
Rotterdam is cool place to visit and we come here from time to time to see friends and family but not sure if we will chose this hotel again.

Having read other reviews I was wary of staying at the Art hotel. It is certainly not an average 4 star hotel. That said, most of the amenities are there (although my friends wardrobe had no coathangers) but they are all really quirky. The rooms were clean and large enough but were really strangely furnished. Some are also fairly noisy as the metro is nearby. However, the staff we met were all helpful - especially the manager who couldn't do enough for us. We had a quick meal in the restaurant, which was fine. We stayed there as we were attending a concert at the Ahoy centre - and therefore the location was excellent - it is just 20 mins walk from the Ahoy.
