Although only a flying visit I feel I must take the time to write a few words.

From start to finish my stay at the Art Hotel was always comfortable and enjoyable. My room (7th floor) was spacious, clean and quirky with a good sized comfortable double bed, living area, bath / shower-room, kitchenette and a good view over the city and waterfront. No noise problems at all. Location wise the hotel is not in the middle of things, but not a real problem as metro and tram stops are very close by.

One of the best assets of this hotel are the staff who throughout my stay were always friendly, polite and efficient....... and housekeepers who actually take note of 'do not disturb' signs. My change of towels was very kindly left in a bag on my door handle.... thank you!

Breakfast was inclusive in my rate and was sufficient. Although I would have probably been a little disappointed if having to pay full price, but I guess that is the case in most hotels these days. Secure car-parking is in the basement and I guess reasonably priced at 15 euros a day (I think).

All in all I would recommend the Art Hotel without hesitation and will almost certainly return if on business in Rotterdam again.

Have stayed when attending events at Ahoy...it is 20min walk or one stop on Metro...odd place..many long term residents...3 months ++...food only just acceptable , next door bar cheaper better and very friendly. No longer good value for w/e deals , much better can be found online.

Only stayed 1 night for a concert in Ahoy (20 min walk) but quite enjoyed the hotel. As stated the interior is very quirky and arty....hence the name no doubt. young lady at reception very polite and friendly, explained a great deal, showed us the route to Ahoy and offered us a wee glas of rosé. Great room on 12th floor with excellent view. Room was clean and interestingly furnished. perhaps not everyone's cup of tea but we liked it! Bathroom clean and spacious. perhaps no amenities but what there was is what you need.. quick dinner - not spectacular but tastey. Slept really well actually! Breakfast is great, period! Good coffee by the way. Would we stay again? definitely.

Stayed alone there for two weeks during a business training at Port of Rotterdam, simple, yet clean and purposeful hotel. If your room is not facing the sea/river side, then you are sure going to hear the Metro all the time. I got used to the sound of metro soon and even Enjoyed it. You can get to the Metro, Tram and water taxis very close to the hotel. The hotel serves nice Break fast and has a restaurant where outsiders too can eat as well. There are other restaurants serving variety of food that can be found just across in a few minutes walk. Evenings you can walk around the hotel to enjoy Rotterdam. Really miss it a lot.
