Excellent location and walking distance to city tram, underground metro and main line sprinter lines. Rotterdam is silent calm city in night but hilton is within walking distance to all restaurants in stadiusplein and also close to river side (5 minutes walk). Rooms are good and spacious. Hotel is bit old so you will find most of facilities bit updated. Break fast inclusion in price is very expensive but you can skip it and eat out in nearby places easily.

I stayed at the Hilton Rotterdam several times now. The hotel is very outdated and I only used it when the price is low. Finally they are starting with the renovation of the hotel. I suggest to be careful the next months, it can be noisy. During my stay the water was disconnected from 10 am until 3 pm.

Location, service, cleanliness... all great. They're currently renovating so we luckily got upgraded to a very nice and spacious suite! There was construction noise early in the morning, but who's there to sleep anyway!? The train station is also like a 5minute walk, there's a beautiful fountain right in front which has different colored lights at night.. and did I mention there's a strip of clubs right downstairs? You don't even have to cross the street! ANDDD lots of places to eat, a supermarket near by as well as liquor store, LOTSSS of stores for shopping.. and KFC (for those Americans who still want a piece of home). The staff was also extremely friendly. We needed ice so we called the reception and had someone knocking on our door 2minutes later with a champagne bucket full of ice, needed a blanket and same thing! It was very clean, great water pressure/temperature in the shower..I really can't think of anything to complain about-- hmm except maybe no free wifi.... but we also got it for a very good price.. i'd definitely stay there again in a HEARTBEAT! You can't get any better in Rotterdam.. there's no way. Don't look anywhere else!

I have traveled around the world and have stayed in a wide range of accommodations. My experience at this hotel was unanticipated and very poor. The hotel is undergoing a renovation - long, long overdue. There was significant daytime noise with little apologies by the staff. The rooms were worn, carpets stained and ours had an unusual odor which made sleeping difficult. Our concerns about the odors were virtually ignored (I can deal with worn rooms, stained carpets). To top it off, I came back to the hotel at night to find a note (from the Chief Engineer, not management) saying the water would be off for at least 3 hours the next day! This has happened to me before, but in hotels in a price range or part of the world where it could be anticipated (i.e. not a Hilton and less costly). This hotel is a poor value, clearly not what you would expect from a Hilton. I would have thought a Hilton would have 1) done the renovations a long time ago and 2) would have managed the renovation process more professionally. I would stay elsewhere until the renovations are complete. There are much better options
