i realy enjoyed my stay, it is a great hotel and i loved the comfort, the staff, the location and the amenities in the room.

Our family of five (mom dad 3 teens) stayed here for a night in December because we are fans of Feyenoord and they had a (very exciting) game at the local stadium in Rotterdam (de Kuip). We could not have been more delighted. I was going to stay at the Hotel New York but am glad we did not. We checked in late Saturday afternoon and were warmly welcomed by a very nice lady who took the time to explain about the history of the house and then showed us to our rooms. The rooms were perfect in the way that is typical of Holland. Very large; nice wooden floors but they must have been heated because I didn't feel cold; extremely cool design (one of our rooms had tables made out of old bicycle tires!) and a great hot power shower. The beds are very comfortable, I can only say that I am not a lover of individual duvets but that wasn't a huge issue for me.
The bar downstairs is cozy and inviting, and the bar staff made us some croquetjes (sp.), a Dutch delicacy of something yummy that is fried and eaten with mustard. Good stuff!
The library is varied and interesting and certainly worth a browse.
Breakfast the next morning was good and very cheerful due to the bright white dining area (this hotel is bed and breakfast). I only had coffee and bread but it looked like there was a full breakfast on hand for those with more appetite.
Also, this hotel is in a pretty decent location and has views on the water which I always enjoy.
We will go back.

Our room was a bit on the small side I have to say. We were just staying one night so it was fine. But it would have been a bit too small if you had a week's luggage or suits to pack away. Other than that it was very nice. Very modern, yet different. The staff are extremely friendly.

can be used for business (if you don't like standard impersonal standard business hotels) as well as private
price reasonable and absolutely fair
nice area around and also good to reach by train
