Just a one night stay in a triple room for me and my family. Generally Dutch hotel rooms tend to be very small but Van der Valk usually offers reasonably sized rooms; Hotel Leiden is no exeption in that respect.
But then there are the little things which really do not add up - the staff is slow in responiveness, uninspired, a bit indifferent and just not welcoming (reception as well as the bar where people were busier selecting music than welcoming or helping guests - almost painfull to see!).
The room was generally ok but the carpet stains and stained sheet covers, well.....
Also there is a coffee maker in the room - nice addition but then, no milk, no spoons and no coffee!
Breakfast quality is mediocre at best and at EUR 36,50 for two adults and one kid way too pricey.
All in all somewhat dissapointing and at EUR 185,- for one night (incl. breakfast and a couple of drinks) just too expensive for the overall experience.
