The hotel has lots of Delft character. Stayed two nights in a room for three. there is no lift which was not good for my fellow traveller with bad knees!
The room was huge but no view but that meant it was quiet. Clean and comfortable, the bathroom was spotless. The bed was too soft for me but still managed a good night's sleep. The reception staff was brilliant with regards to parking. Evening parking impossible in Delft. The roads close and you can go round in circles. Gave up and parked in a nearby car park then walked to hotel. Hotel has parking in the new multistorey a couple of blocks away which was much cheaper and safer.
Breakfast was excellent, plenty to eat. Hotel is within walking distance of everything you would want to see. The restaurant next door - Spijshuis De Dis - is fantastic. we ate there both nights and managed to persuade the owner to sell us a bottle of his home made liqueur, Bocksinth. If I went back to Delft, I would have no hesitation in staying again at the Koophandel.
