I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you have not car.
The bus comes one every 1 hr.
About 20 mins from Liden Central.

The room never been vacumn since renovation. Dirty. It is motel type hotel.. only classy and clean in the Lobby and restaurant but no when you go to you room.
The housekeeping only clean the room around 10 am and they dont knock, they assumed you are out.. so dont forget to double lock it. If you miss the housekeeper at 10am, they are not coming back.. what a 4 * service hey ?

There are a huge pond of water, it is very dirty and lots of masquitos ..!

I spent three nights with a team of colleagues in this hotel. Essentially, this is a high quality motel, located between a warehouse district and a motorway. The three storey buildings are grouped around an enormous parking lot; all rooms are accessed from outside. My room was spacious and modern. One colleague complained about mould in the bathroom. We thought staff was friendly and welcoming; the lobby/bar area is pleasantly furnished.

A large restaurant is attached to the hotel, which seems to generate substantial business on its own merits. We ate here twice and were very pleased with the food. Breakfast was also pretty good. Restaurant and bar service seemed slow to us though. Given that this is not an expensive place, we thought the Sassenheim Hotel was a good deal despite its odd location.

We arrived at this terrible place 2 couples with 4 kids after an exhausting day with a modest request - lay our head on a bed for an hour before dinner. I ordered 2 triple rooms and 1 double room 3 months in advance but that did not help me. When we checked in, the receptionist said that there is a "little problem" and the cleaning staff forgot to prepare the triple rooms and they suggest double rooms with an additional bed instead. It was 6PM and they had not a single cleaning person in the hotel. She didnt understand why we even have a problem with her solutions.After a long discussion the manager promised us that the a double rooms is the same size as a triple room. We eventually got a smallish size room that with the 3rd bed inside there was barely a place to open the suitcase. When we asked the manager for a discount he offred us 7 euro per room ("that is the diffrence between a triple room and a double room" he said).
All in all - a rude staff and manager and a hellish experience. We escaped 1st thing in the morning.

Booked the stay for April 18, 2005 on-line at a good rate as another hotel in the van der Valk chain during out car tour of The Netherlands. When we got there we learnt they had a special, double-room, 3 course dinner, breakfast and entrance tickets to Keukenhof for EUR75/person. As this clearly was a bargain we wanted to change our original reservation to this deal but it took some arguing before they would agree. The on-line reservation apparently carried a comission that the hotel would have to pay even though we finally got our package. An attempt was made to recoup the comission from us by adding EUR5 to the package price. Very good kitchen, room was nice, but as it faced the highway, a bit noisy. If you have a rental car to return at Schipol, this hotel is ideally situated. You get a good rate (about half of a "Schipol hotel area rate"), and you drive into Schipol in less than 30 min and drop your car off!
