We just stayed one night in this hotel. I was impressed by the exterior and it wasn't a far walk from the train station (a bus stop is just outside as well). However, I thought the reception could have been doing with a revamp. As for the room itself, it was fine although a bit gloomy. I was also a bit cold at night as the duvet is a bit on the thin side for winter. To be fair, I didn't ask reception for another one. I know they do offer a selection of pillows though.
As for the vicinity, the hotel is not far from the hussle and bustle. The cathedral is also not far away and I would recommend visiting the interior, and taking a tour of the Dom Tower (views from the top were amazing.... 8 euros a ticket). As for eating and drinking there is plenty of choice. We had dinner at a place called Olivier, a Belgian restaurant which was once a church. The food was decent and the choice of beers amazing. Sevice was decent enough too. If you like art/pictures, go to the shop 'Catch' beside the cathedral. It stocks a great collection of stuff.
