Stayed here for 2 nights in June on business. Hotel was very nice from the outside, great terrace to enjoy dinner and breakfast on. Bar was also very nice and homely. The hotel is located near Zwolle station and is very central to the town centre – walking distance 5-10 mins.
The rooms themselves were very small (the same complaints were echoed from my colleagues). The rooms were given were single bed, quite small rooms in size with everything compacted in. Even the bathroom only had a standing shower, no bath. For the price paid Euro 170 p/n inc. breakfast, I felt it wasn’t worth the money. I’ve stayed in many cheaper hotels with better facilities. Also the rooms were roasting hot as there is no air conditioning. I was facing the main road so the traffic noise was very load when you opened the window.
The town itself was lovely, lots of bars and restaurants and also touristy shops to buy sweets, cakes, wine, tea and coffee. Many local clothes shops aswell which was nice. We ate at the Chinees Cantonees Restaurant, Luttekestraat 8-10, 8011 in Zwolle. My recommendation – stay away from the set menu – the food wasn’t very good quality. We ended up eating again at a local bar and having snacks as the food was no good.
