We stayed at the Zuiderbad Hotel for four nights in July 2007 and we liked it very much. We had a room on the groundfloor with an own porch with seaview... the beach was only about 50 m away and the trainstation about 10 minutes walk away. Our room was very basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice with different kinds of bread, ham, chees, eggs and more. If you are planing on going to Zandvoort I recomend a stay at the Zuiderbad.

I have stayed at the Hotel Zuiderbad on two occassions, the most recent in April 2006. The hotel is across the road from the beach although I paid less to have a view of the carpark. The included breakfast was typical Dutch with boiled egg, meats, cheeses, bread etc. There was plenty of food and the service staff are first class. I had a smallish single room with basic ensuite bathroom. The room was comfortable, clean and warm which is all I ask for. The train station is about 10 minutes walk away. Zandvoort is a pleasant and safe area with plenty of restaurants and easy to get around. If you don't mind being out of Amsterdam then Zandvoort is a pretty good place to be.
