this hotel does not earn all its stars, on checking in i found the receponist grumpy and understood very little english, moaned about us checking in early. the room was very basic and found old sweets under the bed off previous guests which told me the room was not cleaned or hoovered. the breakfast was nice but basic only offering 2 cereals(no kids cereals) both which my children dont like. i thought this was a basic hotel, overated and over priced. i booked for 100 euros for a family room for one night and was charged 119 on arrival.

Enkhuizen is a charming little town! Unfortunately, this hotel is anything but charming. Where do I begin? The website photos are nothing like the hotel itself. Everything there was dirty! Towels are not provided and the owner tried to charge an extra 18 euros per towel! Soap is not provided! Paper products are not provided! We were in a kitchen unit and the items to be used were unclean, with nothing provided to clean them ourselves. There is a small storage room in the basement with a ping-pong table that our children tried to use as entertainment. The owner locked them in the room! I would never stay at this place again, nor would I recommend it to anyone staying in Enkhuizen. Find a place near the harbor and enjoy your stay - stay far away from this establishment!
