Wonderful place in almost the center of Amsterdam yet in a quiet and peaceful district. Walk a way distance to many attractions (that would suit all ages :-)) - both cultural & nature (Artis Zoo is at walking distance too). Many wonderful places around to eat and drink a glass of beer :-). And the MOST important - wonderful atmosphere of a house that is created by host, Lesley, who is very nice lady having great personality and generous heart - you will feel it when talk to her!

Very decent B&B, good price/quality ratio.
Try to book the basement room, it's spacious, cozy and beautifully decorated. It also has a separate entrance, so we felt like home.
It's a bit cold for a Russian inside, but there is always a heater at hand.
Lovely and rather hearty breakfast served in the owner's living room, so you
get the taste of a Dutch breakfast in an ancient century house.
Main attractions within walking distance.
The owner of the B&B is a charming lady, who has travelled a lot
and has a good knowledge of art.
Special note for the Russian travellers: you' ll find a birch tree right at the door,
so you won't be missing home too much!
Definitely our choice when we go next time.

Host Leslie provided excellent tips on how to get around Amsterdam during our 3 night stay. The Stop and Go bus on nearby Prinsengracht assisted us greatly in our travels to venues in Amsterdam. Superb breakfast each morning - even fresh bread from the market one morning.
We had the upper room which was very spacious and comfortable and enjoyed going up the narrow steep stairs. I had no problems with our suitcases, but if you have problems lifting them be careful.
