“convenient and characterful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2010

We stayed in the Garden suite, the cottage room and nostalgia room which is next door.

All the rooms are reached by quite steep stairs and breakfast in the Nostalgia room is served upstairs via quite a steep stairway so not the most suitable place if you have mobility problems.
The Nostalgia suite is in the house next door and is very comfortable .A great breakfast is served in the dining room. There are two lovely cats living on the premises so perhaps not the place for cat phobes.
The garden suite has a small kitchenette and there is a supermarket nearby , very useful to defray the cost of eating out.
All the rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts enough to set you up for the day. Trams, buses and boats all pick up nearby and its easy to get to all the main parts of the city..

One tip is the public transport travel cards run on hours not days so a two day card is 48 hours so it makes sense to buy a card as soon as you arrive.

A very welcome haven right on the water with lovely hosts.

“Best B&B, best host & best breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2010

This is definitely the best accommodation we have had anywhere, we were so pleasantly surprised to have our own kitchen, bathroom complete with spa & backyard that led us to the canal.
Tina is an exceptional host & provided us with any information or directions we needed.
You just cant beat this place.

“great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2010

We stayed at the Kuinder room for 4 nights & I would totally recommend it. The room was clean with a cute attached bath and a small balcony & a nice kitchen. Kamiel was very helpful. We had no problems whatsoever. Except one sore issue -- the double bed is a bit too small for comfort. It could have been bigger. But location wise we liked it since the Tram no. 25 stoppage is a stone's throw. And with a 24 hours card it was very easy travelling. Also Albert Heijn, the supermart is near by. Would go there again.

“BBIJ was a relaxing homebase”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2010

We stayed three nights in the Cottage Room and couldn't have been more pleased. Tina was great to work with in securing the reservation and was accomodating to our early check in. We loved this little neighborhood feeling place. There were cute little restaurants and pubs nearby. The 20 minute canal side stroll to the city centre was enjoyable.

“Cousy B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2010

We stayed 3 nights with my boyfriend at the Cottage Room and had a wonderful stay. The B&B is located 10 min from downtown which is good if you get a day pass or rent a bike. The room was lovely, big bed, big bathroom and the best is you have a fridge (it was really hot in late June and we bought plenty of water). The few things I have to comment are: towels were not changed during our stay, the wardrobe has a lot of things from the owner so there was almost no room to put things in, and if you travel with 2 or more pieces of luggage you will have some issues with the space. Other than those comments, the host was really nice and had prepared a sheet with great help on how to move around, nice restaurants nearby, and how the coffee maker and other appliances work (you make your own breakfast with the things they leave you, which was great). Overall, we recommend this B&B for travellers wanting a nice and quiet place to stay in this city!
