This hotel is in a fine central location (3 trams stop a block away) with shops and eateries and 'coffeeshops' all nearby. It's also near some gay places (hotels, bars, bookstore) if that's your thing. Though half block off a busy street, the hotel is quiet and safe.
My room was terribly small (2 feet of floor space around the bed) but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and updated. I don't live in my hotel room so room size isn't that important. Still, it's like a claustrophobic dorm room with a tiny bathroom. There's minimal space to store your clothes, so you just live out of your suitcase. BYO hangers, alarm clock and soap. There's also basic cable and a phone in the room.
The complimentary breakfast buffet was so-so but there's good coffee, juice, bread and granola. The breakfast 'meats' were scary mystery cold cuts that I avoided.
The front desk staff is the weakest aspect of the hotel. Half the time the staffer isn't at the desk and one of the staffers blew me off when i asked him how to use the in room safe, telling me they're not necessary, the hotel is secure. Another staffer was more helpful and I used the safe all the time.
