This was our first trip to Amsterdam and staying at Garden View b&b was a pleasure. Our room was clean and comfortable with its own balcony. Each morning it was lovely to have breakfast served to our room. Fresh bread, meat,cheese,yogurt,eggs,coffee, a great start to the day. Nessie was a wonderful host who really made us feel at home. She is a lovely lady. The local tram is five minutes walk and it goes right into the city centre yet after each trip we could return to the peace of the b&b which is in a quiet part of the city. We had our own key and could come and go throughout the day as we pleased. The Garden View was a gem of a place to stay and for a couple visiting Amsterdam it would be difficult to find better. I'm just back from Amsterdam a few days and had the pleasure of staying in the Garden View B&B

On our arrival we were welcomed by Nessie who is a wonderful hostess and will go out of her way to get information on music venues/events/shows or whatever you require!

The B&B is located in a lovely and quiet district of Amsterdam (not far from the World Trade Centre) but travelling to the city was quick and easy using the tram service nearby! The Rooms in the B&B were superb, I had the best sleep in the bed and there's a balcony if you wish to smoke and a table for breakfast in the morning and flat screen tv with DVD player in room too! We watched a few movies as we were here to relax and Nessie was so kind to offer making popcorn for us!

Breakfast in the B&B was brought to our room each morning! What a nice way to wake up when the room fills with the smell of fresh baked bread and coffee. There was always such a variety and so much food you could use the sandwich bags Nessie leaves to make up lunch aswell.

All in all I had a wonderful stay in the Garden View and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to my friends and family
Nessie is a fantastic hostess and does a great job at keeping the place to a great standard and making us feel right st home. Many thanks for a lovely time and my souvenir gift I recieved on my last day!!

I stayed with my friend in this very nice B&B last August, who is ran by a kindly lady named Nessie. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with a balcony. We saved a lot of money because the breakfast was really hearty and we even had extras to make ourselves a sandwich for lunch. Nessie is very good and would always be on hand to give you ideas where to go, which restaurants to go to and what places are good to see and experience in Amsterdam.

If you are in Amsterdam solely to party, the location probably would not suit you as it is a fair distance from the city centre although you could get the 24 tram direct to the centre fairly easily, but they stop their services sometime before midnight so you either have to take a taxi or walk. It is a very quiet area by the canal and is only a few minutes' walk from Amsterdam Zuid.

Overall, this has been a good place to stay. Clean, spacious for two people and affordable. And Nessie does a great job running this Bed and Breakfast.

I had a wonderful experience staying in GV B&B for 5 days. Nessie is a warm and helpful hostess.She is a good guide for the tourists with maps and information about the city. The rooms are very clean ,the bed comfortable and the breakfast great with the freshly baked bread as its highlight! The location is very convenient as its very close to the train station. A very good place for those who prefer a quiet ,clean and comfortable stay away from home.
