By far the best hostel I stayed at in Europe. I choose the 10 person mixed gender suite and it was about 10E per night. The room was large, the shower was hot, and the hostel included towels free of charge. The internet was free, and the rooms had a small kitchen with dishes, a fridge, and I think a microwave. The rooms also had small lockers for personal belongings.

What really sold me was the friendly staff!!! There wasn't an elevator, but the staff allowed us to leave our bags in the lobby (free of charge and safely locked up) and someone carried them up later for us. Also some hostels tend to be strict with their check out policies, the staff here was very understanding and didn't mind if you were a little late checking out.

The location is great, literally a 5 minute walk from the train station. My favorite coffee shop, Abraxas is right down the road (the small one not the big crowded one) and was a nice place to eat breakfast or chill at the end of the night.

I would request a room NOT on the ground floor as these people had to use a public shower that was connected to the lobby, whereas we had a bathroom inside our room on the 4th floor.

I am a frequent traveller and this place is the WORST I have ever been before. I wanted to leave this comment through the website I booked it but as the customer assistant said "they didn´t publish it because of technical problems" So I think is fair everyone knows about the reality of this hostel.
The rooms has not window, their way to get fresh air in the morning is open the street door. with a strong feet smell (not clean at all), not heating so the people had to sleep with their coats on because they only gave to you one thin, dirty and small blanket, they are really noisy. They are not plugs. The toilets and showers are really dirty and the fridge and the microwave are inside the bathroom and the stuff is really unfriendly, they didn´t answer any of my questions about the city they just told me "take a map".
The location is ok but depends your point of view there is a noisy disco next to it and some windows from the red ligth district just in front of the door.
Please after travelling hole Europe, trust in me and don´t go to this hostel is really awful.

Location is very good, quality of bedding average for a hostel. DEFINITELY bring earplugs if you want decent sleep. I did and it was the best the decision I made on the trip, as one night a group decided they'd play drinking games in the hostel.
People sleep at all times of the day in this place which is kind of nice as if you're having the proper Amsterdam experience, you probably will be too. The hostel is just a place to sleep really, though they have showers of course too. Overall, it's what you'd expect, nothing more.

This is not a very good hostel. The staff was nice enough, and the place was clean, but I stayed in a room with 20 beds, and they were practically on top of each other. There is no common area, and it perpetually dim. Of course you don't have to pay alot of money, which is nice - but if you have a few more Euros I would choose an upgrade.
