4 of us rented the top floor apartment on neiuwe herengracht for 3 nights over the weekend in november. The apartment was perfect for what we needed and we all strongly recommend it. Katie, the owner, gave us a very warm welcome and was extremely helpful in helping us have a great time, including giving us maps that were very well detailed as well as advising us where the finest smoking and drinking establishments were ;) (Although I suggest doing your homework anyway, especially if your going on a serious coffeeshop crawl, its good to know where you wanna go before you get there to limit time wandering around town getting lost :P) The apartment was nice, clean, well furnished and well stocked with kitchenware and cutlery, a really good apartment for the price, and Katie was happy to lend us a hair dryer and a socket adapter and anything else we needed. Me and my girlfriend cooked up our breakfast, steak n chips and chicken wraps in the flat and so saved a load of money on food. We also bought some booze from the off-license n drank in the flat to save money, we were also out clubbing till 5/6am, it was great to come back, have a smoke n fall asleep to dutch tv :P (Don't make too much noise though as the apartments are quite close together, all dutch buildings are like this, you don't have to whisper or even have the tv on quiet but its not fair on other people if you start shouting n banging doors early in the morning) The view from the window overlooking the canal was nice, beds were comfy, dvd player for tunes and a bit of family guy, and the apartment was conveniently located within 10/15 minutes walk from Dam Square with the zoo and waterloopin market just round the corner. 10/10 for everything and we'll be sure to come back on our next visit to the dam, Thanks Kate
