It's located a few blocks from Leidse Square. Look for it on the satellite imaging of google before going there. We had to wait over an hour past checkin to get our room. I got the room with three beds even though there were only two of us. I've stayed in Amsterdam many a time and the rooms were always so small so I thought it would be bigger this way. And it was! Although it was in a part of the hotel where there is no lift, we had to down stairs...i thought we were in the basement! We walked by a area where there were workers doing stuff ( i think laundry or dishes?). I'm getting madder and madder now. We get all the way to the end of the hallway and go in to a very dark room...i think "ok...we're in the basement". I open the curtains and voila! We had one of the very few rooms with double doors leading out to the center yard in the back of the hotel. The third bed was in a little room between the bathroom and the main room. So the room ended up being ok. Wish we had stayed closer in town though. It had it's ups and downs. Quiet and peaceful was nice. Distance from everything not so great. Breakfast was good...but we only ate there once.

This hotel was in a fantastic location with great access to trams and buses. It was a short walk to the main shopping and restaurant street and the Winter Festival that was being held! It was fantastic.
Our room was huge by most European standards, we were in a quad room on the lower floor with a massive window and lots of space. The staff were nice and the breakfast was good. Would definitely stay there again!

Very good location, clean room. Walking distance to Leidse Square, which is a very live area with shops, restaurants, cafes.
This hotel is also very close to the casino.

This was our 1st visit to Amsterdam. We stayed 2 weeks before Christmas for 3 nights. I found a great package through an on-line travel agent that worked out cheaper than booking seperate flights and hotel. We were approx £350 for both of us all-in. Bargain!

The hotel was lovely. Brilliant value for money. It has really friendly staff who allowed us to check in 3 hours early! This was wonderful as it meant we had 4 full days to explore. We were also able to leave our luggage in a secure room when we checked out as we had late night flights home too.

The room was perfect for a short stay. It had fantastic central heating (it was freezing outside!), a lovely big window that opened overlooking the hotel across the street, a large wardrobe with a safe, comfortable bed and a clean brightly lit bathroom. The room was cleaned each day.The room was fairly small but perfect for a couple for a short stay. Afterall we weren't visiting to spend a lot of time in the room.

We had breakfast the 1st morning in the hotel, it wasn't for me. The hot-food had gone cold and the breakfast room could do with maybe the radio playing or something to give it a bit more atmosphere. Everyone was eating in silence! Very strange for me! There was plenty of choice and everyone else seemed happy. Luckily we stayed room-only. I may have felt I'd been ripped off if I'd paid extra for B&B as there are so many lovely places to eat out for breakfast.

There is also a lovely little bar in the hotel which was great to come back to after a night out for a meal etc. It was no more expensive than any other bar which was great. The bar man was very friendly too.

The location of the hotel is brilliant. If I were to visit Amsterdam again, I would look this hotel up before booking anywhere else. Brilliant value for money restaurants near by, a short walk to the Van Gough Museum, the Fashion District right round the corner, Great tram links for everywhere you may want to visit. For me it was the perfect hotel for a Christmas break. We are considering coming back in the summer.
