If you go to Amsterdam, stay at Kamer01.

The rooms are mind blowing. Its a traditional house framework, equipped with modern comforts, a big handful of style, and a splash of what is definitely the essence of our wonderful hosts!

The rooms are really tidy, and the attention to details are incredible. In fact they may seem like just nice rooms, but if you slow down a little, you'll notice alot of the little touches they've put in.

With Kamer01 you will need a good solid 15 mins to walk from the train station, which if you have alot of luggage like us is quite far. But being a few steps out, we found the area around Kamer01 was much cleaner, very peaceful and generally more appealing than in the city centre. And to alot of the major sites, it is only 10 mins away and is quite a pleasant stroll.

For where to go, what to eat, Peter and Wolter was beyond helpful (Tommie could try harder though). And for what they didn't know, they "Googled" like crazy and made sure you knew next day.

Our overall impression on Amsterdam was good, our impression on Kamer01 was excellent.

We spent four nights at Kamer01 and we kept amazing memories from our stay. Peter, Wolter and Tommie were such wonderful and kind guests who paid a real attention to details. Amsterdam is a superb city, but the trip would not have been the same if it would'nt have been for our stay at Kamer01. Our hosts gave us really great advices for going around the city and for places to visit and where to eat. The rooms and the location were as amazing as the hosts. The Red room which we had had a charming decor and view on the canal. We could not have enjoyed the city as much as we did if it wasn't for the location of the b&b which made it so easy to walk around the canals and visit the must-see places. To top it all, the breakfast we had were just delicious... the best way to start the day!

It wasn't our first trip to Amsterdam, it is not the last, and it is certainly not the last time we were staying at Kamer01!

Wolter and Peter are such warm and wonderful hosts, our three night stay felt like visiting old friends (and their very relaxed dog, Tommy). From the conversations over drinks to the gorgeous and stylish breakfasts, Kamer 01 is so much more more than a unique and stylish place to stay. However, it is both unique and stylish, Peter has a remarkable gift for interior design. Perfectly positioned in the old city with very pretty views, the B&B was ideally placed for exploring Amsterdam at it's most twinkly and festive just before Christmas. We would love to go back in the spring or summer.

I'm spent 3 fantastic nights at Kamer01. I was in Amsterdam for work and decided to switch from an anonymous hotel to their place. Great choice! Peter & Walter were the best hosts ever, and design/breakfast/advices were all at their best. great moment to relax after a hard day. I'll surely go there again, but for fun this time!! And for IBC next year!

PS : I want the same bathroom....
