This is a lovely place to stay, i'm more of a hotel kinda girl but the girls wanted to try somewhere cheaper. The reception did have a stink to it, but that did not affect our room. Our check in man was lovely, very helpful and kind. Our room was for 6 people I found it quite spacious and we had our own shower and toilet which was a lovely bonus and what we hoped for.

You get what you pay for. And yes there is sometimes a stench of weed, and even though I don't smoke it I still expected it and i'm in Amsterdam and staying in a tourist hostel, so it's going to happen. I love the free internet on their computer and free wi-fi. Location is ok, tram stops are literally outside the hotel and takes about 10mins to get into Dam Sqaure, but we did stop off on the way and visit the market, which really isn't that good. But we all have different taste's. I spent most of my time out so we were only there to get ready and sleep a little.... Which is my surprise...

When I was sleeping I kept feeling like I had insects on me, and mentioned it to the girls and we laughed it off. But once returning home, 7 days later I noticed a rash, turns out I had reacted quite badly to bed bug bites. A rash can appear 1-9 days after being bitten, at the time I didn't know what this was but doctor confirmed it was bed bugs. This is the only bad thing I have to say about the hostel. Everything else is good. If you want to mail me any questions about tram, prices getting around or the hostel itself then please do so :)

This is definitely not a hotel. It's just hostel that's filthy and noisy. The worst hotel in my life. Especially, I recommned family not to stay here.

I stayed at the Inner for 2 nights in October 2011 with a group of 6 friends (7 in total). Check-in was simple, and they were happy for us to pay separately for our share of the room. The reception area didn't smell very pleasant, but this wasn't a problem as we weren't there long!

We were in an 8 room dorm (4 bunk beds). The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate, the shower was hot, the beds were comfy. there were 8 individual safes that were big enough to hold a good number of valuables. Towels were provided.

The location of this hostel was slightly out from the centre (about a 20 minute tram ride) but the trams were regular and easy to use. The Heineken Experience and Van Gogh Museum are in easy walkiing distance and a cab back at night from the centre was very reasonable.

Overall this hostel is excellent value for money - clean, secure and comfortable - I would highly recommend it to people who are travelling on a budget.

The room was great (even if without window but the personal told me I could have changed it :)). Breakfast was fantastic. If you go there you have to try the breakfast cake (amazing!).
The hotel is really close to two tramways stops but you can reach a lot of places (such as Museum Plan) on foot. There is free wi-fi in the hall and also 3 pc that can be used by the customers. The personal is really kind. You can also find there a lot of discounts for many attractions.
