Stayed here on New Year's Eve as was a better price than central hotels. Is a 15-20 minute walk depending on your walking speed into city centre but the number 48 and 22 bus stop is right outside the front door of the hotel and takes 5 minutes to get in, running until late.
Hotel has a nice bar and restaurant area and though we did not eat breakfast it looked like a decent buffet spread.
The decor is basic but bright and clean. Rooms are of a decent size (we had a triple room) and again clean with tea/coffee making facilities and good shower.
It is over priced but it is in a major city and I have stayed in much worse for the same price.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Overall, the hotel is a decent choice for staying in Amsterdam as long as you are happy a little way out of the action.
