“Cute, central and good value for money.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

I was a tad weary about booking this hotel after reading the bad reviews, but they couldn't be more wrong. I travelled to Amsterdam with a friend for 2 nights and Mozart Hotel was perfect for us. It was in a lovely central area, 2 minutes from Leidseplein where lots of bars and restaurants are, and had great transport links to explore the rest of this amazing city.

The room we were in was small but was perfect for the both of us as we didn't spend that much time in the hotel and the shower room was perfect. There was even a bath which was a rare treat. The breakfast was a great start up for the day and the staff were helpful and friendly. When I go back to Amsterdam I will be staying here again :)

“A Great Little Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Like others my wife and I were a little wary after reading the reviews and even considers canceling our reservations. We are very glad we didn't. The rooms are small as customary in Europe but comfortable. The breakfast is also European but was more then adequate. We also found the staff friendly and accommodating. This is a great place for location as well. Very close to the museum district, the Ann Frank House, numerous stores and cafes, and the tram. If you knew an inexpensive hotel that is close to the sites this is it.

Room Tip: The cheaper rooms have no view and I think some may not even have windows. We paid an extra 30 Euro...

“Good convenient location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I spent 3 nights at Mozart hotel with my boy friend in January.

I chose the accommodation because of the location and low rate. I was going to museums and wanted to be close to nice restaurant and cafe area so that we don't have to take tram to go home after dinner. I don't spend time in room while traveling in new city anyway. This was right place.

5 minutes walk from tram #1,2,and 5 Prinsen street stop, and 10 minutes to the the 3 major museums. Restaurants were plenty in 5 minutes walking distance like Italian, Dutch, Argentinian, Japanese, Indonesian, cafe and bars.

Room we stayed was quiet, small and dark. Just enough to sleep. It would be much better if you get a room on street side with big windows, but I think I would not have got it because I booked the cheapest double/twin room with the lowest price online. Fresh towels everyday, bed was not too old, warm central heating. Just enough to sleep.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel because there were nice coffee shops like starbucks, local bakeries had lovely pastries and sandwich and pubs at Leodseplein open early to big English style breakfast or pancakes. But their breakfast looked just fine.

People at the reception were nice, helpful if you have questions about sightseeing.

So all and all, everything was just enough for the price I paid and I got what I looked for. Recommend to budget travelers.

Room Tip: They have fewer double rooms so we had to have twin room on the first day and moved to double room f...

“Do not listen to bad reviews, there is nothing wrong with is hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

We were a little bit wary on staying at this hotel due to the reviews, but once we arrived and checked in there was nothing to worry about! The staff are really friendly and couldnt help you more. Ok the rooms are on the small side but that doesnt compare to how amazing Amsterdam is. The hotel is situated right round the corner from all the bars and restaurants but still within walking distance from all the attractions. There are regular trams throughout the day that take you all over the city, but we decided to walk the whole 5 days.
We had such an amazing time that We would deffinately recommend this hotel as afterall its just somewhere to rest your legs after a long day of sightseeing!

“Adequate Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

Very nice hotel shame about the view.

Went to Amsterdam for Christmas weekend away. The staff where very nice and polite. The room was just what we needed. Very nice clean bathroom.
Sadly the room only had a small window that faced onto someone else's room so we had to keep the curtains closed.
There is free wifi on each floor and the breakfast was ok.
Reasonably priced for what it offers and would recommend to anyone on a budget.
We didn't need anything more than bed, TV, en-suite bathroom and breakfast so we where very happy with the hotel.
There is a lift as well so no dragging luggage upstairs. Front doors all 24 hours with security staff too.
Hotel is completely no smoking (of any kind) which was a nice change for Amsterdam cheaper hotels. Defiantly a better place for a more refined traveler still on a small budget.

Excellent location within walking distance for everything.

Room Tip: Room on the front probably better.
