I stayed as part of a group of 6 last weekend. The rooms are basic, no tea or coffee making facilities (and was charged 2 to 2.50 euros in the hotel reception for a hot drink out of a vending type machine, even at breakfast!), there was no tv control, there was no hanging facilities for clothes, not a wardrobe or hook in sight! The room was draughty and the walls paper thin. The steps leading into the hotel are steep and narrow in depth and it was snowy and icy at the weekend and no one had tried to clear or salt the steps to make them easier to access. The very basic continental breakfast was very bleak and served up in what was part of the main reception, with just a few tables for all guest. Luckily enough there is a lift in the hotel because the stairs are very steep and not the easiest to walk up and down. My friends had to move rooms because their heating did not work properly and the attitude of staff was quite lapse. Another of our party had a mouse in the room, but could only be offered the room with no heating that our other friends had just vacated as all other rooms had guests in and was told that it was because they had a packet of sweets in their room that they had mice! There was no information packs in the hotel with regards to how to log on to wifi or even what number to dial if you wanted reception or even what time breakfast was, you had to keep on asking for everything!!! There was no info regarding things like fire escapes in the room. I would never stay in a Quentin hotel again. I have stayed in much better hotels and have paid less than the £ 90 plus a night that they charged for our room, from 4star hotels to travelodges!!!! If you dont care where you lay your head and want to be right in the middle of the leidsepleine than this if for you.
