This hotel was super cheap and in a great location so I went in with pretty low standards anyway and it didn't disappoint. Room was clean and functional but there was a lot of street noise from the trams running outside. I stayed in room 19 which was on the top floor. This meant a rather treacherous, almost vertical climb up the stairs with my suitcase (there was no lift) and I think there would be major issues if there was to be a fire as no alternative escape. Thankfully we didnt seem to have the bug issues as everyone else did and the breakfast was ok also. All in all you get what you pay for the key is to not spend too much time in the hotel and you will have a great visit.

Im disgusted in this hotel it was crawling with bed bugs and i think fleas. Never seen nothing like it in my life it was that badly infested they were even crawling up the walls.
It was me and my boyfriends first weekend away and this totally wrecked the weekend.
we complained and the receptionist had the cheek to say that we had brought them into the hotel, I was so appalled by her response, it was so infested they must have been there a long time because there were hundreds of them. it wasn't just the room we were staying in beacuse we moved rooms after we complained, only after being in the room half an hour we noticed that this room was also infested as the bugs started appearing as we sat on the bed, so we compalined again the receptionst said the only room that was available was the room that we had orignally stayed in but she re assured us that it had been sprayed so we agreed to go back to the room. That night I felt itchy again so I sat up and noticed more bed bugs so I woke my boyfriend up he complained to the male receptionist who said he couldn't do nothing about it we was appalled so we had to sit up all night and leave for the airport early. I'm disgusted that we was lied to that the room had been sprayed when it clearly hadn't. As we sat up that night we noticed the bugs all up the walls, all over the bed and around the bottom of the mattress. I am also disgusted as we only recieved 20 euros compensation, which doesnt compensate the fact that we had no sleep all weekend, had to get all our clothes steam cleaned throw my suitcase away and get my whole house sprayed because they were crawling on us and our luggage in the airport. Everytime my boyfriend phones up this scabby hotel because we were promised to get more money back the woman dealing with it is never there how convienant and its nearly been a month since we stayed there! The receptionist also admitted it wasn't there first time this hotel has been infested with bed bugs. it should be shut down and fumigatted.

I stayed in a 4 bed dorm room, room 2. It was fairly small, but clean and beds comfy. Only criticism is that it is noisy, a lot of noise from traffic, trams and as the reception is only through the wall, the phone, door buzzer and people chatting.

Good thia restaurant just up the road. Close to vondelpark and easy to work trams, line 1.

After a long trip... with a delay flight... My friend and I arrived late (2:45am) to Hotel Princess to check in. We encountered a dim light room, smelling to wet towel, bed sheets with wholes... just one electrical outlet (which was not working)... a bathroom with a leaking faucet and... to make it more delightful.... my friend found a bug in her towel. We did the regular bed bug inspection finding just a couple of dead ones... not another alive. At that moment we decided to stay and talk about it the next day. Our surprise is that the two of us got bed bug bites. When approaching the person in charge at the moment... she communicated with the owner of the place. He agreed for us to leave our luggage, upgrade us to better room for the next 3 nights, and wave the first night fee of the first room. The best room had a better view but we lost our shower in the bathroom and it was still a smelly room. The worst part is that at the very end... the first night was not exonerated but it received a small discount and we were still charged. The pictures on the website do not look even close of the real feel and look of their rooms. Having toilette and shower in the hallway were you need to pass 2 extra doors to get there... in my opinion it is not a hotel but a hostel in disguise.... a bad one.
