My company attends a trade show in Amsterdam every year and we have found that during this high-demand time, a hotel's price is far too high for its quality. So we tried the Nicky Bee apartments and we are pretty satisfied. All the men in the group were completely happy and it was only we women who had a few bones to pick. So, first, all the good. The location is excellent for anyone attending a conference or exhibition at the RAI. Two different trams to the RAI stop just across the street. It is also only a short walk to Rembrandtplein or Leidseplein for dinner and evening entertainment, with trams going up to Dam Sqaure regularly. The studio apt is larger than any European hotel room I have ever stayed in and includes fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and stove top. There is a TV, a small stereo, wired internet, and a land line that can receive incoming calls. It is right next to the Albert Cuyp Markt, which can be good or bad, depending on whether your room faces it and therefore includes a free "wake up service" when the market starts setting up at 7 am. As for the bad, the linens were very poor quality and clearly old and worn. My towel even had an old stain. The shower is a tiny cabinet and you are not provided with even a bar of hand soap. However, for the price and location, this was a very good deal for conventioneers.
