My friend and I stayed on the houseboat for a week in November 2010. It was great to have the privacy of a house and we really enjoyed the comfy bed. The location is perfect, close to everything from restaurants to museums. It is close to the Marqt as well so we could get groceries. Also a short walk to Rembrandtplein and the winter wonderland for ice skating and gluhwein!

four times and just booked for another two weeks in 2011. Peter the host is always adding new touches to make his guests more comfortable. Sitting behind the big windows watching the canal traffic while reading or doing e-mail is a pleasant break from sightseeing.

We had an absolute fabulous stay at The Prinsenboat. Being on the most beautiful canal of Amsterdam we were really in the middle of everything. We experienced how the locals passed by with their little boats. Some really extravagant.
All the interesting sites were in walking distance.
The kids loved everything! And the swans and ducks passing by asking to be fed....

I rented the boat for my sister and her friends so they could experience Queen's day on the Prinsengracht, always a unique experience. Peter is a really nice guy and easy to deal with. The boat is on a perfect spot in Amsterdam, very near Waterlooplein, the Carre, the Hermitage, Rembrandtsplein and Museum square. Nothing is every really far, but I like this area because it's just enough outside of the main "tourist" zone. Great restaurants and bars are very close. Everything you need is on the boat: microwave, free wifi, tv, stereo, bathroom with decent sized shower. I am definitely recommending it to other friends that come to visit (I live in Amsterdam).
