We stayed at the Ajax hotel inSeptember 2011.
It is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in and I,ve Been to a lot.
Filthy bed linen, a room that looked out two feet to a solid wall of the next building, every thing in the room was broken, the telivision,the bed side lights, the pictures hung on fuse wire, please take my advice and do not stay there it was an experience that I advise you not to do. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This place is disgusting it will depress you and ruin your holiday.the young lad at reception was an ignorant, stupid t€at. There was a brick wall 2 foot from our window no natural light.there were mice in the room when I complained I was told the guy coming in at 10pm would kill them.needless to say i demanded another room, they were not keen to move us but eventually did.don't go there folks, go outside the city center and get better for your money.this place should be condemned.

This is the most appalling hotel in the world. We were booked for 3 nights and left after one. We are now in a fight to get some of our money back. Every bad thing said in the other reviews applies to our stay. I have never seen dirt like that in my life! Avoid room 321 like the plague unless you actually want to catch the plague.
We will not let up in our efforts to get our money back and have made a complaint to Netherlands Tourist Board about the Ajax being listed on their IAmsterdam site.
By the way, the breakfast was rubbish, those cornflakes were damp enough to have come from the canal.
This was our first visit to Amsterdam and we cannot fault the assistance we received from the Tourist Office at Central Station as they located new accommodation for us and advised us how to make a complaint.

bout hotel off of booking.com, when I got there they overcharged me than what I originally bout it for, the charged me 15 euros to use the in room safe, stains was on our sheets but was not replaced when it was cleaning time, bathroom was to small, tv didn't work and only one outlet work out of three, window was broke so it wouldn't close so had to stay cold each night and be ready to climb steep stairs, it was in a good locations and everything was in walking distance and front desk was nice and helpful !!!! not worth the price could of been cheaper for what they offer !!!!
