“Noah's Ark Bed and Breakfast”

Me and my partner came to Amsterdam on the 23/05/05 and stayed for 4 nights at the Noah's ark bed and breakfast in Druivendrect (if that is how it is spelt) just outside the city and a short train ride into Amsterdam. It was E360 for the stay and well worth the money. The room was excellent, huge and service was outstanding. The 2 owners were lovely. If you are looking for a nice, quite place to stay away from the city, i would definalty recommend this.
The only downside was the fact that you had to get the train to and from Amsterdam which limited your time there as you had to catch the last train back at night but hey, it was still awesome.
If you are travelling to Amsterdam there are a few places i would recommend seeing. They are Anne Frankes House and the Sex museum (not for the faint hearted i might add) and as for coffe shops, our favourite of all time has to be La Canna, the largest and most fun coffeshop we visited.
We are returning in November, for a long weekend and can't wait. Amsterdam is No. 1 for a fun filled holiday, beats sitting at the beach any day!!!

“4 reasons to stay there”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2005

There are 4 reasons to stay at Noah's Ark during your stay in Amsterdam.
1. Hospitality: Either Sandra or Salah are the friendliest hostels we ever met! They are extremely helpful. They provided us with everything and they gave us important information.
2. The breakfast is more than delicious. Cakes, cookies, traditional tastes, a big variety of bread, cheeses and marmalades were our breakfast every day. Everything was so tasteful that we didn't want to stop eating.
3. Our rooms were very tidy and really comfortable. There was enough place for all our luggage and we felt really cosy because either the bedrooms or the bathrooms were very clean and well decorated.
4. The neighbourhood was very beautiful and quite. Everywhere traditional houses with nice gardens.
Sandra & Salah, thank you veeeery much for wonderful hospitality!!! We are looking forward to seeing you here in Greece. Ioanna, Manos, Natasha, Stelios, Maria, George, Eva.

Your B&B was really great, clean and cosy rooms, breakfasts were superb and like I said Sandra and Salah were like family to us. They provided us with lots of maps and advices. We stayed in the suite's room and it was brilliant !!! We highly recommand this B&B because you will feel at home.

“Friendly Family Hospitality- We'll be back!”

This was my first trip to Amsterdam and my boyfriend's first trip in 20 years to visit his family that live in Holland. We arrived to a warm welcome from our delightful host, Ruth. Immediately, we were treated like part of the family welcomed with hot tea and an afternoon snack. Ruth provided us with directions around town, insights on safe places to visit in downtown Amsterdam. Every morning, Ruth welcomed us with a fine dutch breakfast of tea, pastries, meats, cheeses, or anything we requested. On mornings that we slept in late, Ruth was gracious enough to prepare breakfast for us to enjoy in our room. Noah's Ark is situated in a safe, clean neighborhood, a few blocks to the Dievendrecht train station (5 min to downtown Amsterdam). The rooms were clean and spacious. This was the perfect start to our European vacation. We plan to return this year and hope to see our dear friend Ruth again. Thank you for your hospitality!

“An Exceptional B&B”

If your idea of a satisfying vacation includes staying in a gracious family home as the guest of people who are anxious to help you make the most of your time in Amsterdam, and who will extend themselves in a variety of ways to make you feel completely at home, then Noah's Ark is for you.

Sandra and Salah will serve you breakfast - a delicious array of fresh breads, cheeses and fruit along with eggs or pancakes - in their lovely dining room, where they and the other guests gather each morning for a relaxed meal and interesting conversation.

Sandra and Salah will share their ideas concerning interesting places to visit, eat, and shop.

The house, which is in a lovely, quiet area, is near a bus stop and a short walk to the train station. We found it convenient to all Amsterdam attractions as well as to Haarlem.

We stayed in the Captain's Room, a large room with comfortable twin beds. The bathroom is large and cheerful. It is cleaned daily. We stayed for eight nights. The experience was a very pleasant one and one we hope to repeat soon.
