After 2 years I returned back to amsterdam for New Year hollidays, I stayed 2 weeks at the Old Quarter hotel. I loved the neaberhoud and the staff of the bar / restaurant at the groundfloor. I wish the crew of the Old Quarter all the best for 2012.

Absolutely loved this hotel! Staff were really friendly! It's right in the centre of everything! Our room was amazing! Looked right out onto the canal! The only 1 bad thing I could say is that the shower is attached to the wall so you can't move the shower head about! (personal issue I suppose) there was even a vending machine outside our room that sold cans of beer for €3! And you can smoke in your room! Also our flight back wasn't until 10pm but we had to be out of the room by 11am but they had a room were they allowed us to keep all our bags until we left!

I stayed here for 3 nights sharing a room with 2 mates. Not much I can say about it really except it was somewhere to sleep. At least it seemed clean although quite depressing inside..

The pub was quite good and had a lot of beers and it is just off warmoesstraat so it has a good location but thats about it.

Old Quarter is a pub/hotel in the Red Light district of Amsterdam, but don't let that put you off; the staff are very friendly, and the accommodation is spotless and quiet. For its location, just five minutes walk from the Central Station, it's extremely good value, and you even get a "free" breakfast, even if it's a small one; bacon and a couple of fried eggs, toast and coffee. The rooms are small; the width of our "double" room was two single beds side by side, with six inches between them, but the room was long as well as narrow so there was plenty space for our baggage.
