Shelter Jordan is an outstanding place to stay. It's kept very clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and it's quiet. The linen was clean, the room is cleaned every day as are the common areas including toilets and showers. While it is a hostel they segregate the sexes. The women are on the 2nd floor and the men on the third. The hostel was very quiet while I was there.
There was plenty of hot water in the morning as well.
While a bit out of the way - a 15-20 minute walk from the rail station it's very close to the bus station - maybe 5 minutes and the walk is very scenic. The immediate neighborhood has many restaurants and markets with a wide selection to chose from pizza to steak.
