We paid an incredibly low price for this hotel in comparison to what else was available. About the same price as two dorm beds, and we received a very clean room in a fantastic location. On the fringe of the central part of the city, the hotel was right next to a plethora of stores, restaurants, shops, bars. It is located in a square, with many bars and restaurants. While we were there, it was fairly quiet as it was in the middle of winter and too cold to sit outside. The tram stops right outside the left of the hotel, and it was only a 5 minute ride to Amsterdam central. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the shared bathrooms were decent. Small hallways, but to be expected for housing in a land limited city. From here, we walked to all the sights in the city. Pleasant and safe area.

The room was reasonably sized with a sink and small tv. Ours looked onto the square.

Booked it as it was cheap and in a great location. Free wifi, it does not need anything as its next to great bars, restaurants, clubs and cinemas. Then on all sides you have Amsterdam itself. Anyone who goes to Amsterdam and expects to stay in their hotel and not go out do not go here as it is basic. That said the shower was hot and everywhere was clean. It has traditional dutch stairs so if you are overweight or disabled do not stay here. I found the staff great and friendly. The hotel was safe with a locked door operated by a receptionist.
Thanks again for making this trip to Amsterdam so easy. Would definitely use next time.

I recently came here for a weekend in Amsterdam with some friends and had a great stay. The staff were friendly and very helfpul in giving good tips for restaurants and places to go out to. Best of all, the location was central which meant we were within walking distance to everything which we wanted to see. As for the rooms, they were simple, neat and tidy. Definately a place I would come back to!!

Hotel Atlanta is in an outstanding location in the heart of Rembrandt Plein. There are restaurants, souvenir shops, a movie theater, tram for transportation and coffee shops. The staff is what really creates a cozy and friendly environment. Upon entrance into the hotel you must walk up a very long and narrow staircase to get to the reception area. There is a nice breakfast room that overlooks the square and breakfast is served in this room for 7 euro. The shower in the room is fantastically powerful. The rooms are also clean with small beds, but comfortable. There is a small refrigerator stocked with drinks at 2 euros each. The total price for me, my husband and two teenagers was 1500 euro for 4 nights. It is pricey. We enjoyed our stay and will return again.
