We visited for 3 days and 2 nights Amsterdam. On arrival I had to pay a 5% city charge, the staff were great arrived and checked in at 11am. Previous to my arrival I emailed the hotel to ask for directions to which I had a quick and easy to follow response, get train to Centraal St from airport, then bus numbers 32 & 33 (left of station) to hotel which was about 6 stops or 10 mins away. Room was a usual business room two single beds, clean sheets so all good. I never ate their as Amsterdam has a lot to offer. Would return back to hotel for sure so definately a good choice. Just not too sure about the 5% charge for entering the city?? Should be included in the bill to avoid being charged on arrival.

Stayed here overnight en-route to Germany. Bit hard to get car parked but only a 10 minute busride into Amsterdam centre. Room was good, clean and quiet. Made a major error in leaving a LARGE sum of cash in the room. This was located and kept securely by the hotel reception until I was able to stop by and collect it a week later. I'd stay here again no worries.

On a par with a premier inn or travelodge in the uk, decent sized room and level of attention from staff. Added bonus of a free car park which was the main reason for choosing this hotel as we were making a few trips outside of Amsterdam. Easy 10 minute bus into central station, so if you are looking for a medium quality reasonably priced room then this could be it.

Not knowing the area from any previous visits I was not aware of the area and not able to assess that this hotel was not very close to the city centre. It was not a far bus drive and in retrospect was probably better for peaceful rest when we were in the hotel.
There were several issues that would not have been so bad had it not been for the poor way the staff handled it. Firstly, if you are a couple wanting to have a 'romantic' time when in the hotel, this would NOT be the place for you. They have NO rooms with larger than a single bed. When I addressed this on checkin they stated they had no double beds. Not as advertised by the site I had booked through.
They also bragged on the site about Wifi being free and accessible, this was not so in our room and we had to go sit in the lobby in order to get any type of signal. The bathroom had an ant problem, every time we went out, we came back to more ants. It was pretty disgusting.
Upon checkout the reception staff tried to charge us €89 more! After telling her I absolutely refused to pay an additional charge she got physically angry and started throwing around the stapler and scared us. I told her that being violent would not make us pay and that it was very unprofessional for her to act this way. It was embarrassing.
When I recall sitting in the lobby for the internet, I overheard several times when the staff was telling guests that it would cost more. Is this a common practice of the hotel? Do they always lure you in with good prices and then kill you at check in? This is enough to me to say, STEER CLEAR OF THIS ONE! They are not as advertised and that can be a real issue if you are making a trip on the cheap!

Side note: The food in the restaurant was very high in price but low in quality.
